4-in-1 Eyeshadow

I recently had bought Maybelline New York "Time for Wine" eyeshadow quad. I had read that the makeup artists at Vogue had used it on the cover for Winona Ryder and I had to get it. Its probably the best eyeshadow I've bought! The lid shadow is very matte, but when you layer the brow bone over it, the shimmer isn't an overkill. The outer corner shadow is a perfect shade of brown. I wing it out on my outer corners like it says, but i also dust it lightly under my eyes for a grungy look. Finish off with mascara and your ready to go!

Libertine for Target

So I went to Target last night because I needed new shampoo and makeup. I casually walked over to their clothes section, and saw that they had the Libertine line out! First off, I must say that this line is my favorite that they've had so far. But some of their pieces, I must admit, were totally ugly. I thought the shorts with the whales and skulls looked cheap. I'm sorry if you had liked them but they were defenently not my favorite. I had tried on this tunic-ish top that kind-of looked like an old man dress shirt, thinking it like chic with leggings and colorful flats, but alas it felt, and looked like, a hospital gown :[. I was disappointed. But then my eyes fell upon this top:



[The picture looks different then what was at my Target. The middle rose was actually made of thread, and was the color of the shirt, but a few shades darker,] I had fell in love with the color! It was simple and elegant. I bought the last one in a XS, and planned to wear it with:



black leggings or pants, as Hilary Duff shows



gold gladiator sandals

and



skinny yellow or black belt.

Bangs

Today I am going to get my bangs cut. I've been sporting the side-swept bangs for quite a while, and I think that it is time for something new. Am I tired of seeing side-swept bangs? Very much so. They are almost as bad as sneaker flats (yes, I cannot STAND them) and flip flops (a great reminder of high school fashion).



I am planning to get ones like the beautiful Irina Lazareanu! Perfect length and thickness. Wish me luck!

Tell me what you think of it. I personally didn't like it. I think, since born and raised in LA, I see it differently then the people in the video did. I personally don't like Rooney, so seeing them in the vid didn't do much for me. Lavender Diamond was kind of weird, so I didn't really like watching her. Cory Kennedy was as she usually was, and Cisco Adler does nothing for me. None of them represented LA and what we stand for. There's so much more in the music scene than what they mentioned, and there's so much more fashion and cool-hip stores if you just open your eyes more!

My First Job

I recently got a job at the movie theater by my house, and I start tomorrow. Oh the joys of popcorn and cheap, over produced Hollywood bullshit!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

The new Harry Potter book is coming out REALLY soon and I couldn't be more excited! I think I might go to a midnight release party a Borders bookstore at midnight. Maybeee. Ok, so I guess this is going to be my chance to talk all about the Harry Potter cast actors and their style. Alrighty...


Emma Watson (Hermione)



This isn't my favorite dress in the world. It's a little bit 80's prom for me, and the necklace is just too much. If this dress was shorter, and worn with black peep-toe pumps, then I'd probly dig it.



I really like the shirt and the vest, a little bit of pirate, a little bit of gypsy. But I don't know what's going on with the boots. I don't like the toe of them, maybe it looks odd because of the position of the photo, but from this angle I don't like them. They look heeled to me too, i think flat would've been more flattering.



Good Lord. There's so many things I could say about this outfit. Straight-out of Dynasty. The feathers are WAY too much, and it looks like a firework exploded all over it. I'm sorry Emma, but this missed the mark.



LOVE LOVE LOVE. The top-hat makes the outfit. I'm not a fan of being matchy-matchy, but I love how the top matches the shoes because it's a very uncommon color, like sea-foam green. Gorgeous.



Navy blue heaven. The dream-catcher thing is kinda weird, but I still like the outfit a lot. The cut is perfect for her, and she chose the perfect shoes for it. Kudos for Emma!

Daniel Radcliffe (Harry)



Very English prep. Brings out his eyes beautifully,



Ew. Very ill-fitted. I do not like this look one bit! Ditch the jean jacket and tighten up the pants!



:/. Ever seen Dr. 90210? DR. RAY! Thats exactly who he looks like, Haha. The suit is cheesy, The tie is cheesy. I suggest a black suit, or maybe even a dark blue? And a plain black tie. Simple, but classic.

Rupert Grint (Ron)



The jacket could be a little bit more fitted, but I like at all the same because it's a little bit military inspired. His hair just makes everything seem a little bit more cooler :).



Is he wearing a shirt with Daniel on it?! He has a sense of humor about himself and seriously, you need that in the industry. Go Rupert!



I love the shirt. I love the jacket. Love this look. Perfect. Simple.

headbands

I love headbands!! Wearing them hippie-style or with a high ponytail has been summer 07's hairstyle [for me that is].



i love these ones by Goody. Their not too tight, and aren't too thick. I suggest thicker headbands for boys because their hair is shorter [and because it looks amazingly cute!] like these..

They can be worn with just about anything. But, I like wearing mine with a black short strapless dress [loss fitting], a long scarf, and gold gladiator sandals.

The Shangri-LA?

Yes, taken from the song "Kashmir" by the amazing Led Zeppelin. "Oh, pilot of the storm who leaves no trace, like thoughts inside a dream. Heed the path that led me to that place, yellow desert stream. My shangri-la beneath the summer moon, I will return again. Sure as the dust that floats high and true, when movin through kashmir". I changed the "la" to "LA" though, for Los Angeles of course, dur!

Ok, so anyways I'm Lizzy and I'm 16 years young. Here's some things you should know about me:

1. Music has made me who I am today. 80's Hairmetal, 70's Classic Rock, Hard Rock, etc. My favorite band is, and always will be Motley Crue. Never heard? Google them. You might be pleasantly surprised [or not!]. Recently, I've been listening to a lot of Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath and Guns n' Roses. Music inspires me how I act, how I dress, what I believe in, and how I see people [odd, I know].
2. I really like to read. But lately it seems, it's hard to sit down and actually find time to read something anymore because of the internet, school and whatnot. Recently, I've started getting into Harry Potter again. Yes, I admit it and I'm not ashamed whatsoever. I used to be into the whole Harry Potter craze back when the first books started coming out, and now, since the final book is coming out soon, I seemed to have fallen in love yet again.
3. Fashion inspires me. I love seeing people on the streets, who can walk down them, wearing crazy outfits with confidence, and not care what others think of them. I enjoy people who have their own style, whether or not it was in Vogue or Harpers Bazaar, but it makes them happy and feel beautiful.
